Truthful Tuesday
I had an exhausting (but fun) weekend.
I had a good total body workout this morning, followed by lots of caffeine, and an apple.
I was reading yzupp’s post about gluten free things, and bit into the apple and my face slipped, and my nostrils hit the apple. Now I need a tissue. Is the rest of the apple OK to keep eating? I don’t care. I like to eat germs and stuff.
I am excited about getting a new body. It’s really the same one, but I’m re-sculpting it. I have lost a good deal of weight, and I have a ways still to go, but I’m starting to see results that I like. It feels like I am in control of myself.
I know that everything we see and experience is mostly an illusion. I mean, all we ever see is a reflection of the small spectrum of light that is not absorbed by the surface of the things we think we are actually “seeing.” The things we “look” at are really in constant motion, are mostly empty space, and have absorbed all the visible colors that we are NOT seeing. How the hell do we think we can be objective about our observations when the very way we observe things is so indirect and incomplete?
We chase happiness and fulfillment and satisfaction throughout our lives. We succeed sometimes, fail other times. We all have a haphazard way of being tossed through this life. We are no more in control of anything than a housefly is in control of the wind. We can make decisions, and we can navigate, but we are a part of this ecosystem.
There are too many cats and dogs. I think that is our fault.
